come into our Children's Department.

To the left you would find the elevator.
The Genealogy table is to the left along with
handmade crafts made by the FRIENDS
of Swan Library. Behind the circulation desk
you will find the new releases and the best sellers.

 

Display Cabinet
Located in the lobby, local artisans,
authors and collectors have displayed
items for the community to view.

 

Microfilm Area
Find that historic newspaper article from
our local papers. Our top notch Reference
Librarians will help you find what you need.

Historic Courthouse Mural
You really need to see this mural in person to
truly enjoy the craftsmanship and beauty.
Through a grant, local artist Heather Boyd
painted several of Albion's proud and
prominent architecture.

Meeting Room view 1
At the top of the main stairwell you will find our
meeting room. This room spans the width of
the building facing Route 98. We hold many
programs, events, story times and board
meetings in here.

In the opposite direction as the previous photo,
the meeting room is equipped with piano, many
tables, chairs, antique sofas and a 50" large
screen television with DVD/VHS player.
  Curtis Room - Civil War Collection
Mr. William J. Curtis, Civil War history collector
donated his extensive collection to the
Swan Library. This room also serves as an
administrative office.

A portrait of Mr. William Swan proudly hung
in the meeting room.
Periodical Room and Meeting Table   YA and Serial Collection        
Periodical Room
The periodical room adjoins the meeting room
and contains a wide variety of magazines
and local newspapers.
  Young Adult & Graphic Novel Collection
Tweens and Teens will enjoy our YA collection
which includes novels, graphic novels and several
book series. Also in this photo our magazine collection
